Episode #182
Success is often on the other side of fear—identify a fear-linked goal and take one concrete step within 24 hours.
Create commitment and accountability: put money down or make a public promise and enlist a partner or team to support follow-through.
Leverage mindset tools—positive self-talk, “fake it till you make it,” and daily visualization of successful outcomes—to move through discomfort.
We all have fears, and usually our success, and the thing that we want is on the other side of that fear, right?
Whenever you hit the stop button on this podcast, I want you to be able to go do something, right, within the next 24 hours to move on this, to take action on what you learn.
So I encourage you, don't just listen to this and move on with your day. Identify that one action that you need to take.
Facing what you fear (28:40)
We all have defining moments in our lives. Sometimes we expect them– like getting married or winning a championship. Other times we don’t– like a death in the family or a surprise promotion.
Will you back down when yours arrives? Or will you face your fear? Take action? Speak up? Move on?
This episode on facing your fear is the first of a four-part series on defining moments.
