Statistics on the Use of Social Media

I can’t quote the source other than the person who repeated these stats to me- a PR consultant, Marijean Jaggers of Standing Partnership (PR firm):

  • Brands that chose to use NO social media tools in the past year saw revenue decline an average of 6%
  • Brands that chose to use LOTS of social media tools saw revenue decline as well (not sure the %).
  • Brands that chose to use A FEW social media tools saw revenue increase 18%
  • Moral of the story:  Pick a few, use them well, watch your tribe grow.
